Finished SackBoy!

Wow!! I can't believe I finished the SackBoy I started last fall. But here
he is!!! And "Quality Control" has given him the nod of approval.
I still need just a few finishing touches, but.....
Also when I was first making him I had taken notes
and was hoping to write a patten out
but it's been so long, I'm not sure where
my notes are now. Will look for them and if I
find them I will let y'all know.
Okay, ta ta for now!!!

What's Up with the SacBoy

Oh my goodness. I was doing so good with this project and then ran into a roadblock.
My sackboy needs the proper eyes. I live in a small town and resources are very limited. So, I need to find some eyes that will work for this guy. Although, I have a friend that had a HUGE collection of buttons. So I'm hoping that I can find something from her that works. All other parts of the sackboy are done, so once I get the eyes I can finish and then get the pattern going too!!

Okay, TaTa For Now... :D

Quality Control Reject

Well, after running my sackboy head through QC, it turns out, it didn't cut the mustard. My son who is the expert and my QC supervisor said "no go" with the
sackboy head that I thought was good.
So onto head #3, with a few minor adjustments, which I am noting for my pattern,
I really do like sackboy head #3 much better. Yay!!!
I've got the body of the boy pretty much done. It's just the head you've got to
get just right, that face...He's so adorable.
Anyway, I'll will post pictures of the third head tomorrow, so, check back.
Bye for now,
Kelly :D

Sackboy WIP

Okay, I've started the sackboy. So far I've got one non usable head and one that is looking a bit better. I've posted pictures of the one I'm liking. It took unraveling 8-10 rows at various times to get where I'm at now. I'm keeping track of stitches and rows and so forth and will hopefully come up with a pattern of sorts. I may actually start putting the pattern here as I complete and am happy with each element of my sackboy.
This is a work in progress and the eyes are just black felt circles for now, to get an idea if it's looking alright.

Another picture of me holding my sackboys head, this is to get an idea of size. The pictures a bit blurry.

Ta Ta For Now, will be adding more soon!!

I Wanna Make a Sackboy...

Okay, so I wanna make a sackboy. Mmmmm! But where to start, I first Google Sackboy crocheted patterns. I only crochet, I don't knit, so I NEED a crochet pattern for the sackboy.
All sorts of things pop up in my Google search, but nothing that suits my need. You see, my son is a gamer that wants one, and he has an online gamer friend that wants one too.
Well just out of my sheer frustration of not finding a pattern online, and with the help of my son that knows this little character, I am going to try to write my own pattern. I haven't been doing amigurmi crocheting for very long, AT ALL, so I'm not sure what I'm getting myself into, but check back as I will be sharing what I learn and come up with as well as pics of this crazy journey of the sackboy pattern writing.
Follow along and any comments are welcome.
